Fresh Dust <\/strong>(SI, PT, FR)<\/p>\n

Following the release of Hilarious Experts<\/em> in 2019, the Fresh Dust project, helmed by Jaka Berger, is back in a greatly reconfigured form. Now transformed into a quartet featuring first-class international personnel, its (almost) free improvisations, for which Berger has written thematic frameworks devised as a mixture of notation and graphics, place it within the context of contemporary free jazz.
\n<\/strong>Half of the team is composed of two featured artists \u2013 Portuguese trumpeter and composer Susana Santos Silva, \u201cone of the most exciting improvisers in the world\u201d (Downbeat), and award-winning Parisian pianist and composer Benoit Delbecq, a trend-setter who injects the spirit of jazz into John Cage\u2019s prepared piano. The Slovenian members are Samo \u0160alamon, one of the nation\u2019s most distinguished guitarists, and Jaka Berger, a drummer and percussionist widely known for his stylistic versatility. By means of extended techniques and preparations, the new quartet breaks the traditional mould of free music.<\/p>\n
