ee Dee Bridgewater and Music Across Three Stages

After last night’s sold-out opening concert by Pat Metheny, the 67th Jazz Festival Ljubljana continues today with a full day of music. The afternoon will begin with Jazz in Dialogue, where Jason Olaine, Vice President of Programming at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York and a Grammy Award-winning producer, will join Melissa Aldana and Sun-Mi Hong to explore how the traditions, stories and experiences of previous generations continue to shape contemporary jazz.

At 7 pm, the legendary Dee Dee Bridgewater will take the stage in Gallus Hall with We Exist!, one of her most recent and celebrated projects.

The evening will then continue in Park CD with performances by this year’s Artist-in-Residence Lenart De Bock (CRY), Anže Mikulan (Rhythm Is Expansive) and Sun-Mi Hong with Bida Orchestra, before moving to CD Club, where Japanese pianist Aki Takase will perform with her Timeless Ensemble.

For those who still won’t be ready to call it a night, the festival tradition will continue with a late-night jam session at Kazina Jazz Club.
